I do hope spurs don't do another Carrick...don't offload Tom cos he is one the most talented midfield player in english football... Capello praised him and most soccer experts says he is another Hoddle...so please Arry, keep him and play him more often alongside Palacious not Jenas...vs west ham he control the midfield with his skills and flair after zokora replaced Jenas...zokora and palacious are both ball winners and tough tackling players and Tom will definitely benefited from this.

don't ever offload tom becuz of the like of zokora, jenas n palacious in the middle of the midfield. he will become another treasure to other clubs. have heard that everton are interested in him. he has the vision and ambitious and he also can shoot from distance. his passing is accurate and his long passing that amaze us.

Right. It was good to see Hudd again. He had a few good shots at goal. How many shots did Bent get? I was also happy to see Zokora. He did well too. Who do you think iwould be our best central midfield pairing? Hudd & Palacios? Redknapp seems to favour Jenas. Upfront, I think Pav has finally convinced the boss to give him the start ahead of Bent. And Defoe is back in training as well.

if downng do join spurs i would favour a 4-2-1-3. palacios n tom in front of the back four, modric as the playmaker n attacking midfielder while Lennon n downng will terrorist the oppenant flanks. for the current situation, jenas also an essantial part on the squad because he tend to broke the oppennt atack and turn it as our own.

that the problem that I see in spurs. we got to many quality strikers right now. for me if downng due join spurs then we must choose 1 of the stiker cuz lennon n downng is part of the flank on the 3 strikers system. for me bent doesn't have a future with spurs. if arry can develope pavy to be an effective center 4ward than it will be interesting to watch spurs contending for champion League. moreover, pavy actually wear the no. 9 jersey.

sorry guys...downing will be a let down just like bentley....we don't need him...I prefer palacious/tom central pairing...pavy have to fight with defoe to partner keano up front...

Not a bad performance from tom in the newcastle match. Had a decent attempt but unfortunately all of them were too ambitious trials.

I like the hud's distribution and striking prowess! he can rip opthe opposition's goal from anywhere! His pace is a little off though. But, he can initiate a break from anywhere..

Sorry but the Hudd is a liability when we play 4-4-2, especially against stronger teams than Newcastle or West Ham. Our midfield was shred to pieces in the 2nd half against Newcastle coz Hudd failed to press the opposition and Palacios, unfortunately, can only be at one place at one time. I dun think the Hudd will ever overcome his lack of mobility and pace. He can pass though but unless we go 4-5-1, there is on way he'll survive against top teams. Jenas to start always with Palacios. Unless we get Beckham of course.

Sorry STG,I don't agree with you...Hudd is not a tough tackling midfield dynamo like B.Robson, R.Keane,P.Viera,M.Essien etc....he used his head rather than his body...and STG,most midfield greats like Zidane,Hoddle,Platini,Ronaldhinho and even the late George Best (my favourite player of all times) are slow, lazy and has poor defensive qualities just like our Hudd...
And Hudd must be given runs of games to established himself at spurs but under JR and HR he is always sideline ,mostly as subs...what happened to Hudd happen to Hoddle in the England team in the 80's...Hoddle only played 49 times for England (correct me if I'm wrong)... and the great Platini once said that if Hoddle played for France he would have got more than 100 caps...is hard for a gifted player like Hudd to survive in England...70's players like Alan Hudson and Rodney Marsh were very gifted but only played for England a few times...only in the 90's the system change in the English games where gifted playmakers are much appreciated but there are still a few British managers who loves the long balls and thus ignored the gifted players...I hope you understand what Iam saying to clear the pictures.

I see STG point, and agree with him to some degree, as sometimes I see Hudd out of position when the opposition burst into counter attack. To Hudds defence tho, when a player lacks pace, he needs to make up for it by being able to be at the right place at the right time (positioning), and that comes with experience. That is how players like Teddy Sheringham and Paolo Maldini prolong their career to compensate for their loss of pace. Hudd is still young and I hope in 2 years time, when he is 25 (and if he is still with us), we can see improvement in this department, or else, it is hard to see him able to perform at the highest level (Champions League / World Cups). Still good as a bench player tho.
