Good suggestion but will it work?...why not try army commando types of training for a month and I'm sure the players will be mentally and physically fit,200%...but the army trainer must train the boys not the coaches...then they'll will know,LANGIT TINGGI KE!RENDAH KE!...rugby players are fitter than the soccer boys becoz we train harder than them and we did more physical training and most of the time injuries and small fight broke up between players during training,that's how serious rugby players are ,but that was way back in the 60's,70's and early 80's...but currently the rugby players attitude...boom,boom going down just like the soccer boys.

football in m'sia are doom becoz the faces in FAM are not genuine but photostat faces...they know nothing about football except chin aun and azzuddin who are former national players..they know how to talk,talk and talk but no follow up...and the players are also to be blame becoz they want to be primadonas...are they?perasan kut...we need 200% real soccer players who play for the love of the game. ingin cari duit mudah sila layari www.duitmudah.com/?id=su1409 cuba dulu sebab modal begitu rendah

I agree with you all. They sack manager & coach but the same old dusty politicians & royalty sit at the top in FAM. How to make changes with these outdated minds still there talking the same old thing and wanting things to remain the same old way.
Someone should remind them that if they keep doing the same things they are going to keep getting the same results. Time for a shakeup and they should begin right at the top.
M'sia boleh?

They sacked the coach and the manager as they are showing the true spirit of Malaysia Boleh...Malaysia Boleh in making same old decisions and then hoping that the same decisions could turn things around...they kept pointing fingers at others while they forgot to point fingers at themselves... Sorry...Football under Khairy Jamaluddin would go nowhere....Football under Royalties are indeed going nowhere...These people stay at FAM because....THE PUNY STATES AFFILIATES ARE AFRAID TO CHANGE THE FAM AND THE ROYALTIES....These States F.A's are being run by POLITICIANS who sit there to gain POLITICAL MILEAGE....and they are afraid of FAM AS THEY HAVE BEEN RECEIVING GRANTS FROM FAM..... Thus....like "they" always said... DO NOT BITE THE FINGERS THAT FEED YOU...What an Ancient theme that.....
As long as the same people in FAM stays... our football would never change....As long as the people in FAM stays...the peole in the sate affliates stays...Thus..OUR FOOTBALL IN GOING NOWHERE....

Bravo to the sports minister for getting the exM'sian stars to a discussion on how to improve football which is currently in ICU...like hockey, football is going into a right direction and it should have done several years ago but it's better late than never...it's wonderful to see legendaries like Choon Wah,Bakri Ibni,Abdullah Ali,Chin Aun,Rahim Abdullah,Ghani Minhat etc.etc.getting together to discuss the state of football in general.
Hopefully the standard of football in this country will improve after talks between ex stars,kbs and FAM .Get the ex stars to help in various age group and the national team regardless of having certificate or not...legendary midfielder from perlis Bakri Ibni said during the meeting that" FAM should not make it difficult for the ex-internationals with certificate demands becoz we are there to serve but if there are too many clauses,most just decide to not bother"... and I agreed with him becoz certificates does not make one so good,yes paper work he is damm good but doing that on the field is a totally different matter..come on FAM, please do it right or forever football in this country will not improve.

I have some suggestions I would've love to forward to those in charge of Msian football, especially concerning grassroot development;
Why not hire those ex-athletes (football, hockey, whatever) to be coach at school levels, similar to the US system? We surely can use their expertise to develop a better PE session and extra-curricular activities which actually help students athletic development (My PE session in my school days generally involves dumb kickabout while the teacher went dozing or smoking somewhere). Those ex-athletes who couldn't make the grade to be coaches at professional level, Sports schools or Project teams surely at least able to teach basic techniques at lower level (The primary school is the best time to develop technical skills, secondary school generally involves physique development and tactical stuff). Of course we need to vet them so that we don't hire child molesters or sumting.
Improve University sports activities by increasing it's prestige & public visibility. Our universities nowadays suck (not only on the sports front).
Perhaps rather than relying on schools to create teams, we should have Intra-district small leagues (Similar to our Taman A vs. Taman B thing) but for the younger generations, like the little leagues in the US. I know this will probably results in a couple of brawls here and there, but at least, kids are playing football.
And not least, make those bloody ignorant developers to stop digging our football fields.
But knowing our country, even if we can come up with the world best-est plan, there will be no execution. Nothing will come out of it and most certainly we will fail miserably.

Just to share some memories from the good old days...when i was very young, there was one day when pakcik bring me to watch Selangor vs N. Sembilan at Padang Kuala Pilah somewhere in the 80's...Padang Kuala Pilah is the NS home venue that day, just a standard field with limited seats...we can't manage to get seat, but were seated on the field at the back of Selangor goal...just few yards from the post, only separated by a long rope from corner to corner...And there were the legends... Mokhtar Dahari, R. Arumugam, Santokh Singh, Reduan Abdullah and few more names I can't remember...ahh..yes, Alias Syed Mohamad the acrobatic NS goalkeeper...(he saved some grounder ball with some rolling moves, like a pangolin...haha..) ;D The Selangor team with majority of them are national players, looks intimidating...they make their presence felt, they were the real stars of the day...even when the warm-up sessions, they did sychronisedly (is the word valid ?)...it is like watching a show and the crowd were very excited...wohoo...and my best moment came when during the game, the ball bumped towards me and it was the "Spiderman" Arumugam himself came to retrieve it...He came, collect the ball, flash a smile and ruffle my hair....haha... and crowd bersorak and clapped as approval... As a young kid growing up idolising our football heroes, watching those stars in live action is really an unforgettable experience for me...

Our national football is like Malaysian politics. When talk of change, its all window dressing really. Team does bad in tournaments, sack the coach. Same ol scapegoat they've been using for decades. This is FAM's 'creative' means of bringing about change. Where else everyone knows to effect change is to remove the power crazed old farts in the FA. Malaysian football will forever be doomed because its a structural problem.
