It's rather boring talking about spurs at the moment,so lets talk about our national team that will be facing UAE tonight...what are our chances ?
No doubt that UAE is the favourite but M'sia can still do the impossible and beat them or at least take a point...if we play to our true potential there's no reason we cannot achieve the desire result...our players must not rate and respect them becoz by doing that we will lose 40% before the game really start and we have only about 60% left and that's not good...we must troop on to the pitch with 100%.
We have a match winner in Safee n Indra plus cool defender Norhafiz to counter the UAE attacks...and welcome back Shamsuri our experience goalkeeper...go for it ,MALAYSIA BOLEH !

The problem with MAlaysia is... they rarely turns it on when it does really matters... UAE is strong but nothing is impossible... I have seen Safee played for Selangor for the past two seasons and he is one who could score fantastic goals but missed really good chances...
The problem with Malaysia is that we troop obn the field knowing that we would lose and most players are scared stiff of the opposition.. we are scared of Thailand, Indon, Singapore and now Vietnam... confidence is at all time low but if they play with all their heqarts out, with a little bit of luck we might snatch it.. although it is a long shot...

Malaysia oh malaysia...thrashed by UAE 0-5 at home and now what Sathia !...don't blamed on fitness alone, the mentality of this current players is debatable?..they're professionals and should act like that regardless if they are not fit 100%...they must use their brains and think positive all the time..like I said b4,they lost 40% b4 the game even start and vs a team like UAE you'll be punished..I just don't when this players gonna learn.

vs Iran we'll be hammer 7or 8 -0...stop the old story of selecting senior players to us stronger but it looks like with them in the team, the players look lost and stuck somewhere...my suggestion is to play with the u/20 squad from now on regardless of the result cos soon the desire results will come with more quality matches...no more shukor adan, misbah, hairuddin, etc,etc....titus must be call up what about bunyamin omar n badrol bakthiar who both went for a 2 week sting with chelsea and also azaruddin who had trials with psv in holland...wake up FAM.

beaten 5-0 at home is nothing new for Malaysia..we did that in 1987 agaimnst Kuwait at the old Merdeka Stadium.... But what is worrying is that we have made the habit of being thrashed at home...C'mon..

Tengku Abdullah Calls For Total Revamp In FAM KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- Former Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has called for a total revamp in the association's administrative structure. This could bring back the country's glory in the world number one sport, he said. He said that after his resignation following the national team's awful defeat in Asian Cup 2007, he found the quality of the squad's performance had worsened. "It is better for FAM to carry out an in depth post mortem to know the main causes of defeats and improve as soon as possible," said Tengku Abdullah who is now Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) president. Such a big loss and easily beaten by a lesser known team showed certain weaknesses still existed, he told reporters after the handover of three Hyundai vehicles by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd to MHF here today. Last night, United Arab Emirates beat Malaysia 5-0 in the Asian Cup qualifier at Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras. -- BERNAMA same old excuse.. post mortem, post mortem, post mortem..after a week everything is forgotten and forgiven... go to www.eloratings.net/asian_cup.html and you will see where is m'sia..

what the hell.... what good a post mortem would do if they do not get to the root of the problem.. FAM needs to change together will the states association...we have a professional league wich is run by amateur idiots...we have state MB as the state F.A president and Sultans and politicians as the FAM officials.... most of them do not play Malaysia Cup level football in their playing days (if they have one) modern football organization is different from a state, a company or a bussiness venture...
It is the same Malaysian attitude... we would create a task force to conduct a post mortem on the problem.... blah... a post mortem... Melayu mudah lupa...

actually our soccer boys are blinded by wealth...to most of them money is everything and playing for the country comes in second...not only football but other sports as well..eg.rugby.. we were a good rugby nation in asia in the 60's,70's and early 80's but after that boom, boom, boom becos glamour plus materials are god to them...I was coaching the Perak rugby team in the 90's and there was one player who is new to the team come forward and asked me if Perak rugby union is giving free sports equipment...just imagine on the first day of training and the final squad had not been name yet..this is m'sian sports...it's about GLAMOUR n MATERIALS not for the luv of the game.

su1409..at least Rugby is not as glamour as football... rugby has its own enthusiast and a lot of them played because of the love of the game...as for my school...most of them just wanted to continue playing rugby after school and thus most of them wanted to play for UPM or the Serdang Angels... we still have respectable rugby schools who played rugby as it is their tradition...schools like MCGayGay(somebody told me that),Putrajaya Alam Shah,KSAH and others are a force to be reckoned with in rugby and thus the steady supply lines of players...
But then even in rugby we are struggling against Singapore and it has been a long time since we beat Thailand...
Blinded by wealth and glamour is one of the main reason why our footballers could not maintain their performance... Azman Adnan, Azrul Amri Borhan, Gopinath Naidu, M. Chandran, Paul Raj, Azlizam Ibrahim, Rizal Awang Jad, Khalid Jamlus and Shukor Adan are some examples of players who are really good in age tournamnets and who are well known in schools circuit. But when they made the break in the senior team...they started to pose without their shirts in swimming pool in a teen magazine which name resembles a lock or a certain yellow fruit famous in Perlis...started to flirt with actresses (some had gone all the way into marrying them..albeit in Malaysia or outside Malaysia) and frequent the kalabul malami....they will say goodbye to their pitiful football career..
